ORGANISATION OF ECONOMIC COOPERATION AND DEVELOPMENT

Background

The Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development is an intergovernmental organization consisting of 36 countries with high-income economies. The organization aims to boost economic development, create a platform for policymakers to exchange experience and discuss administrative matters, find solutions to global problems on economic, social and environmental issues on national and international bases.
In the OECD committee, delegates are expected to find solutions to integrate refugees into the member states’ developed economies as well as preventing unplanned urbanization which is a common problem of the expeditiously developing cities.
